Bayanihan for Kapwa Kapatid: Realizing dreams through education

Australia Awards is the prestigious scholarship offered by the Australian Government to Filipinos who have the potential to contribute to the Philippines’ development and become leaders in their chosen field. Upon their return from Australia, Australia Awards alumni are encouraged to create positive impact in the communities they serve, and design initiatives that make a difference in the Filipinos’ lives.

Kritzia Santos founded 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid, a volunteer organisation that aims to empower the underprivileged Filipino youth through education. After studying Masters in Social Work at the University of Melbourne through the Australia Awards, Kritzia has scaled up the foundation’s reach and partnerships to benefit more underprivileged students.

In the spirit of bayanihan para sa kapwa kapatid, Kritzia has expanded 2KK’s scholarship program to include financial provision during the pandemic, and employment assistance for the scholars after they graduate. Learn more about her story here:
