Bringing Filipino weaves to Australia

Australia Awards Scholarships equip Filipino leaders with skills, knowledge, and global connections to advance their career and make a difference in their communities and the lives of Filipinos.

Australia Awards alumna and entrepreneur Anya Lim is the co-founder of Anthill Fabric Gallery – a social enterprise that promotes cultural preservation and sustainable livelihood by engaging local artisan communities. In 2019, she joined the Australia Awards Women Trading Globally – a program designed to help women entrepreneurs in the Asia Pacific Region scale up their business for international trade. After completing the course, she was able to partner with Filipino-Australian entrepreneurs and textile artists in Australia, and bring Anthill Fabric’s best sellers and heritage collection to Melbourne and Sydney.
