Philippine-Australian company Prime BMD builds Mega Quarantine Facility

Australia values the key role the business community plays in advancing the trade and investment interests of both the Philippines and Australia, and in driving the economic development of both countries. We proudly support Australia-affiliated companies like PrimeBMD, who, in the spirit of mateship and bayanihan, has also provided infrastructure support to the Philippine Government integral to the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prime BMD was among the first private sector groups to assist the national government in its COVID response efforts. In 2020, Prime BMD transformed several facilities into field hospitals and converted event centers and medical facilities into mega swabbing centers in support of the government’s detection and isolation strategies. Prime BMD also built the largest COVID quarantine facility in the capital.

In August 2021, Prime BMD completed the mega vaccination site at Nayong Pilipino in Paranaque City that offers drive-thru vaccination booths and ambulatory courts for walk-ins. The vaccination site has the capacity to administer 15,000 jabs per day.

Prime Metro BMD Corporation (Prime BMD) is a partnership between Australia’s BMD Group, one of the largest family-owned civil contractors in Australia, and Prime Infrastructure Holdings (Prime Infra), the infrastructure investment arm of the Razon Group in the Philippines. Prime BMD was incorporated in April 2017 in the Philippines.

Prime BMD specialises in the construction of major transport and urban development infrastructure for private and government clients in the Philippines. The company constructed the tunnels for New Clark City, and are the contractors of a water project that aims to deliver 518 million litres per day of water to 500,000 households within the Manila Water franchise area.
