Leaving no one behind: Study on the Filipino Child

Australia and the Philippines have a shared commitment to social protection.

In the last 10 years, Australia has supported the Philippines to achieve its goals of reducing poverty, addressing inequality, and developing a more inclusive Philippine economy.

To ensure that the most vulnerable are not left behind, Australia, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund and the United Nations Children’s Fund, supported a 15-year longitudinal study on the Filipino Child. It aims to shed light on a wide range of the changes, challenges and opportunities that young people in the Philippines experience as they transition from adolescence into adulthood.

In the spirit of mateship and bayanihan, Australia remains committed in extending support to the poorest and most vulnerable groups in the Philippines, to help build the foundations for inclusive economic growth.
