Australia gets a taste of Philippine durian, thanks to resilient Davao farmers

Australia has been supporting the Philippines’ economic growth and development for over seven decades. The Australian Government has provided scholarships for post-graduate study and short-term training to around 3,500 Filipinos with the aim of empowering and equipping these leaders to drive change and contribute to Philippine development.

Watch as alumni entrepreneurs Nel and Eyeth Belviz from Davao City, both awardees of Australian Government scholarships and training, share how their Australia Awards education has been instrumental in the success and expansion of their businesses, including their first export of frozen durian to Australia during the pandemic.
